Puerto Vallarta

Realized that we haven't posted anything about our trip to Puerto Vallarta at the end of last month. But then again, we forgot our camera so there aren't any pictures to share! Not that there would be much photographic interest in us spending four days just relaxing by the pool, relaxing on the beach, or relaxing while eating delicious meals (accompanied by margaritas and cerveza, of course). In lieu of pictures, I put together a little map that illustrates our get-away.

I think the most interesting thing about our trip was that we sat next to a guy with MY SAME NAME on the plane from L.A. to Mexico. (Cue Twilight Zone music here.) As it turns out, my name doppelganger is much more fabulous than me (he owns a hair salon in San Francisco). We had a good time talking with him and his friends, we even ran into them again on the last night of our trip.

While I didn't pick up any souvenirs in Mexico, I did acquire a head cold that ballooned a bit out of control when we returned home. Darn that low-humidity cesspool of microbial nastiness of an airplane air conditioning system! My doctor prescribed some good medicine so I'm on the mend, but still a little deaf in my left ear.

The trip was relaxing and definitely worth it. I'd love to go back again, but I think Mike would probably like to mix it up for our next trip. Any suggestions? [Marc]
